The Belle of Amherst by William Luce
Directed by Adrian Goldman and starring Rebecca Clamp as Emily Dickinson.
The play is based on the life of Emily Dickinson, the renowned American
poet, exploring some of the events that shaped her and her poetry. Born and
raised in 19th century Amherst, Massachusetts, the poet didn’t live the
reclusive life that legend describes. The play is not a biography, however,
but exploration and celebration of an artist and her work.
There is limited seating: please reserve your place through
the Arkadia Bookshop website and please arrive 30 minutes prior to
performance to claim your seat.
Admission is free, but a donation of €5 to cover performance rights,
programme, refreshments etc. would be delightfully welcome!
