Friday 11.5 at 6pm: ‘Shrinking Cities: de-urbanization in the American Midwest’ by Richard Hogan

Dear friend of Arkadia,

You are heartily invited to ‘Shrinking Cities: de-urbanization in the American Midwest’ by Richard Hogan on Friday 11.5 at 6pm.

Architect and Urban Designer Richard Hogan will discuss the phenomenon of shrinking cities in the American Midwest.

While global urbanization has received considerable attention in recent years, some cities are experiencing dramatic de-urbanization. Community leaders, researchers and residences are struggling to understand and respond to the changes this creates in the built and natural environments.

The presentation will show how de-urbanization effects Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland and St. Louis and the ways in which people are adapting to this new reality.

Welcome!

Warm regards,
