You are invited to a concert of ‘Soiva Ensemble’ on Saturday 24.9 at 1pm at Arkadia (Nervarderinkatu 11).

Soiva Ensemble is a varied group of Finnish musicians. The performers of the evening are the founders of the group, Margit Tuokko (soprano), Emma Kuntsi (kantele) and Panu Henriksson (guitar).

They will perform songs by F. Obradors, J. Lehmus, E. Granados, and others.

Soiva Ensemble is an open community of musicians, whose aim is to offer its members and audiences a possibility to partake in different creative projects.

Lyric-dramatic soprano Margit Tuokko is a versatile, experienced opera singer, who graduated from the Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences with a Master of Music and Arts degree in June 2016. Margit Tuokko sang her debut recital successfully on 2012 with pianist Marjaana Merikanto. Tuokko performs frequently, has premiering a lot of contemporary music, been member of the extra chorus of The Finnish National Opera for over 20 years and has choral experience from around 50 different opera productions. Kantele artist Emma Kuntsi (Master of Music) is a versatile solo- and chamber musician, who has specialised in Finnish contemporary kantele music. Kuntsi arrange and compose music specially for choirs and exhilarates of other musicians and theatre.

Panu Henriksson started to play classical guitar in the year 2000 and at first it was a hobby along with engineer studies. In 2003 Henriksson started music studies at Helsinki Conservatory with Ilmari Hytönen and music professional studies in 2005. From 2008 he studied guitar music education at Metropolia University of Applied Science with Petri Kumela.

Soiva Ensemble on Margit Tuokon, Emma Kuntsin ja Panu Henrikssonin perustama avoin muusikoiden yhteisö, jonka perusajatuksena on tarjota jäsenilleen ja yleisölle mahdollisuus toteuttaa ja osallistua erilaisiin luoviin projekteihin. Soiva Ensemblen ohjelmistossa kuullaan tällä kertaa muun muassa F. Obradorsia, J. Lehmusta ja E. Granadosta.

Lyyris-dramaattinen sopraano Margit Tuokko on monipuolinen oopperalaulaja ja laulupedagogi, joka saavutti musiikin maisterin pätevyyden kesällä 2016 (Musiikkipedagogi YAMK). Ensikonserttinsa Tuokko piti menestyksekkäästi vuonna 2012 Metropolian kisällit -konserttisarjassa. Tuokko konsertoi säännöllisesti, on kantaesittänyt paljon nykymusiikkia ja on kuulunut jo 20 vuoden ajan Suomen Kansallisoopperan lisäkuoroon omaten noin 50 oopperan näyttämökokemuksen. Kanteletaiteilija Emma Kuntsi (musiikkipedagogi AMK, MuM) on monipuolinen soolo- ja kamarimuusikko, jonka ohjelmisto on viime vuosina keskittynyt uuteen suomalaiseen kantelemusiikkiin. Kuntsi sovittaa ja säveltää erityisesti kuoromusiikkia ja inspiroituu esimerkiksi yhdessä soittamisesta ja teatterista.

Panu Henriksson aloitti klassisenkitaransoiton vuonna 2000. Soitto oli aluksi harrastus insinööriopintojen ohella. Vuonna 2003 hän aloitti opiskelun Helsingin konservatoriossa Ilmari Hytösen johdolla. Muusikon ammattiopinnot hän aloitti vuonna 2005. Vuodesta 2008 hän opiskeli kitarapedagogiikkaa Metropolia ammattikorkeakoulussa soitonopettajanaan Petri Kumela.
