Saving the Ross Sea: Photographs and Tales of extreme swimmer Lewis Pugh, by Tania Moilanen

In February 2015, Pugh completed the first long distance swim in the Antarctica’s most southern sea – The Ross Sea – to draw attention to the impending ecological disaster the sea and its wildlife face. Since his series of Antarctic swims, Pugh has been campaigning around the globe in a run up to CCAMLR’s (Convention for the Conservation of Antarctica’s Marine Life Resources) vote happening later this month (October 19th) on whether nor to protect the Ross Sea.

Bio: Tania Moilanen is a British-American-Swiss freelance journalist and writer for National Geographic Russia.
