The Night of the Arts at Arkadia Friday 21.8 from 7pm to Midnight!

Dear friend of Arkadia, Friday 21st August is the Night of the Arts in Helsinki! The bookshop will be part of it and we’ll be open from noon to midnight. You are welcome to visit and attend the shows! Here is the programme: 7pm: Music and poetry by Marmoritrio. Marja Nykänen is a Finn who has lived a great many years abroad, mainly in France. Her texts express the joy of rediscovering the beauty and sounds of her mother tongue. Her close friends musicians Mauri Saarikoski (violin) and Timo Seppänen (guitar) accompany her on that journey. www.theatre-illusia.com 9pm: Singer and songwriter Rebecca Clamp returns to the bookshop with new songs and the same elegant and delicate mix of poetry, humour, nostalgia, depth and vigour as ever! www.myspace.com/rebeccaclamp 10.30pm: The guitar duo “Kemppi&Sharman” have also kindly accepted to perform once more at the bookshop and delight everyone with their talent and wonderful stage presence. Another not-to-be-missed performance! www.mineralkingdom.net/ So, come with joy in your heart and all your friends, relatives, acquaintances, and all the wonderful strangers you’ll undoubtedly meet on that most extraordinary of Helsinki nights!
