Warm regards, Ian www.arkadiabookshop.fi Entrance is free and green tea will be offered. A donation of €2 (or more!) to fund the event is suggested and would be most welcome. Bill Lambdin I’ve been writing poetry for quite a few years. My hometown is Cleveland, Ohio USA and I’ve lived in different places in the midwestern and southern US and have lived in Finland since 2007. My influences include Walt Whitman, e.e.cummings, Charles Bukowski and the beat poets. My poems have appeared in numerous small press magazines, broadsides and chapbooks in the US, Canada, Belgium and Switzerland. Some have been published in French translation. My 1997 chapbook “slow movement” won the Georgia (USA) Author of the Year Award. Here is the title poem from that book: today is like the slow movement of a quartet by schubert it’s cold everything’s frozen still & the melody you faintly hear over the silence is only there yo break yr heart You can read more of my poems at:http://www2.tusculum.edu/tusculumreview/2009/03/17/bill-lambdin-artist-statement/
