Dear friend of Arkadia, You are invited to ‘Balanchine and the Lost Muse’ by Elizabeth Kendall on Tuesday 20.12 at 6pm. Elizabeth has kindly accepted to talk about George Balanchine’s youth in St. Petersburg (Petrograd, Leningrad and Finland), and about his classmate, the young gifted ballerina Lidiia Ivanova, who died (a possible murder) in 1924, 3 weeks before she would have left Russia with him and three other young dancers.
