Dear friend of Arkadia, You are heartily invited to “Lähemmä läpi kyläisen“, a poetry performance by the Speech and Drama students of Snellman College on Wednesday 15.2 at 6pm! “Lähemmä läpi kyläisen” presents a medley of poems from the traditional Finnish Kanteletar. These poems of sorrow, humour and love, offering glimpses of everyday life, are woven together by beautiful Finnish folk songs. All songs and poems are in Finnish. Welcome! Warm regards, Ian www.arkadiabookshop.fiEntrance is free and green tea will be offered. A donation of €2 (or more!) to fund the event is suggested and would be most welcome. Snellman College (Snellman-korkeakoulu) is a private college. The studies are based on a holistic and philosophical concept of man in which spiritual and physical aspects of humanity are both taken into account. The pedagogical thoughts of Johan Vilhelm Snellman and Rudolf Steiner have inspired the study programmes. http://www.snellman-korkeakoulu.fi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanteletar
