Dear friend of Arkadia,
We ardently wish you and all your loved ones a joyful Christmas and a marvellous year 2015!
We wish to fully express our deepest gratitude and admiration to all the extraordinarily talented and generous people who once again came to the shop this year and offered a stirringly broad and thrilling variety of events (1100 of them since our beginnings in 2008!). Thank you all!
Naturally, we are also profoundly indebted to all our scintillating visitors who have come for our books, have attended the events and who have warmly, and with such unequivocal energy, supported us.
We are entirely and absolutely independent bookshop, benefiting from no subsidies or other financial support, and simply cannot carry on without your precious help.
Thank you so much!
We are also exceedingly thankful to the marvelously spirited band of assistants and trainees who have come to lend us such a friendly and encouraging hand.
The jolly crew of Arkadia have come from the close, and somewhat more distant, lands of: Finland, Sweden, Iran, France, Russia, Ukraine, China (both the mainland and Hong Kong), Romania, Italy, Germany, Senegal, Armenia, Ethiopia, Kosovo, Tanzania, Zambia, The U.S.A, Brazil, Argentina and Cameroon. They have been immediately and heartily welcomed to the Arkadia family!
Thank you greatly!
We shall be closed for a while (from Saturday 20.12 at 6pm to Wednesday 13.1.2015 at noon) before resuming all our activities with renewed strength and enthusiasm.
See you soon and please look after yourselves well in the meantime.
Thank you once more!
Warm regards,
Ian and Liisa
