Maya Egashira (violinist and violist)  and Robert Kopelman (violinist) will play at Arkadia at 16:00 November 11th 2008.

 

It’s a Saturday and the sun will surely shine, so do come, you are all most heartily welcome!

Maya Egashira was born in Kobe, Japan. She graduated from Kikuzato High School in Nagoya (music course) with the highest grades and she continued her musical studies at Aichi University of Fine Arts. She graduated in 2002 with two honour prizes. She moved to Finland in 2003 and studied at the Sibelius Academy. In 2008 she graduated from the Academy with the very best grades. She has performed both as a violinist and violist in Japan, Finland and other countries in Europe. She has studied the violin with Y.Morishita, Y.Seto, M.Vaiman and A.Vinnitski and attended master classes of P.Vernikov, G.Pauk, S.Mintz and R.Gothóni.

 

Robert Kopelman was born in Bratislava, Slovakia. He graduated from Bratislava Conservatory (1998) and studied in Vienna and Prague. He is now attending his last year of study at the Sibelius Academy.He won 1st price in a number of competitions in Austria, Hungary and Germany. He studied under O.Parchomenko, A.Vinitsky and followed the master classes of M.Kopelman, I.Oistrakh, V.Liberman, E.Schmieder,V.Paraskievov, Z.Bron and I.Stern.
