Blurb:
Et tu, Tori Amos…
I have been playing my own versions of other people’s songs on the piano since the mid-nineties. For this singer-songwriter heavy evening of
musical assassination, I’ve put together a set list of old favourites, random songs that demand to be heard (for some strange reason) and songs that reflect my current state of mind, for which I apologise. Whether I totally kill these songs or whether they finish me off remains to be seen and
heard.
Bio:
An English teacher and publishing editor by day, a theatre and music enthusiast at every available moment. Previous crimes include teaching music to kids aged 11-18 in Lapland, English language theatre with the Finn-Brit Players for the past few years, and being partly to blame for the existence of Thespians Anonymous. Musically omnivorous, I still tend to gravitate towards a more singer-songwriterly and folky end of the spectrum. I used to love musicals. That sometimes shows.
