Breakfast at Phoebe’s / In the blue sky we and a bee MINITOUR IN FINLAND Two Finnish-French bands are coming to Finland to do a minitour that includes five concerts between 10th and 14th of March. Mikko Karhulahti from Finland and Elise Chevillotte from France bring their group, In the blue sky we and a bee, for the first time to Finland. They play minimalistic modern folk with film like ambiance and atmosphere. Breakfast at Phoebe’s, lead by young songwriter-pianist Mikael Kuosmanen, plays strong and original songs influenced by many different styles from jazz to folk to world music. The soul of the group is the piano played by Mikael, the voice of Tua Sofia and the cello played by Aurélien Vacher. After the Finnish tour, there will be a busy Parisian spring awaiting the bands. At the end of March, Breakfast at Phoebe’s is releasing their first EP: ”Birds are singing with me”. In the blue sky we and a bee start to work on their debut album. The groups are also continuing touring together. They’ll have a mini tour in Paris in April, and in May and June they’re heading to Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Pariisissa tavanneet nuoret suomalaismuusikot tuovat yhtyeensä viisi esiintymistä käsittävälle kiertueelle Suomeen maaliskuussa. Siinä missä Mikko Karhulahden ja ranskalaisen Elise Chevillotten muodostama In The Blue Sky We And A Bee edustaa uuden folk-suuntauksen elokuvamaista minimalismia ja maalailevaa äänimaisemaa, Helsingistä kotoisin tulevan Mikael Kuosmasen luotsaama Breakfast at Phoebe’s perustuu pianovetoiseen eri musiikkityyleissä poukkoilevaan intellektuelliin folk-poppiin. Yhtyeitä odottaa Suomi-visiitin jälkeen kiireinen Pariisin kevät. Breakfast at Phoebe’s julkaisee neljä kappaletta sisältävän ”Birds Are Singing With Me” -EP:n maaliskuun lopulla, sekä In The Blue Sky We And A Bee aloittaa debyyttialbuminsa nauhoitukset jonka ensimmäinen single julkaistaan toukokuussa.
