You are heartily invited to attend a one of a kind improvisational dance performance: “Under the Influence”, presented by Janelle Abbott, with special musical guest Satu Kolehmainen on Friday 2.11 with a pre-performance at 6:00, “real” performance begins at 6:30 at New Arkadia (Nervanderinkatu 11)
Don’t let the thought of “improvisational dance” scare you! Janelle will be employing the guidance of drawing or ‘mapping’ (with rocks, ink, and chalk) in order to navigate a path for her free-flowing dance styling’s.

Janelle Abbott is nomadic maker of things, mover of limbs, and writer of fictitious limbs. She has been in Helsinki performing at the Amos Anderson Museum’s “Boutique” exhibition: sewing white t-shirts 6 days a week for nearly 3 months. Through she has very much enjoyed her stay in the beautiful country of Finland, she is to jet off to Seattle, WA, where she originates from, to get a corporate job in order to pay off looming student loans.
