Antje Rößeler

I’m a Jazz-Piano player, currently studying in Helsinki within the „Nordic Master of Jazz“. My compositions turned into performance mainly through my german trio „Roetlese“, founded between my study-place Dresden and my hometown Berlin in the last years. You might hear my early musical influences from classical music, as well as my inner connection to pictures, describing nature or places, and the importantness of fantasie in my pieces and improvisations. I explore and learn the language of Jazz in playing with different musicians, and I enjoy the possibility of free communication and creating unique moments together. Daniel Regenberg, Gregoire Peters, Jiggs Whiggham and Jeanfrancois Prins have been my greatest motivators to develope as a Jazz-musician. Regarding my composing, I am influenced by Julia Hülsmann, Ann-Sofi Söderqvist, Tim Sund and Richie Beirach, with whome I was blessed to take lessons.

The Swedish-German „ArKs-Projekt“ was founded with composer/trumpet-player Kristine Schlickenduring my exchange-studies at the KMH Stockholm.

New projekts are coming up with Laura Schuler (viol) and Sanna Ruohoniemi (voc) in my Nomazz-studies in Helsinki, Stockholm and Århus.
