Family bilingualism as a lifestyle (not a source of stress) by Annika Bourgogne

Children may be like sponges when it comes to language learning, but many multicultural families say that they would still like to have a bag of tricks to combine bilingualism and real-life parenting.

Annika Bourgogne, author of Be Bilingual – Practical ideas for multilingual families, shares fun and out-of-the box ideas that families can use to make bilingualism work in their busy lives. The ideas are backed up by the latest research in the field, but focus on making growing up with two or more languages an enjoyable experience for the children.

Annika Bourgogne holds a Master of Arts degree in French and English from the University of Helsinki. She has written her master’s degree on bilingualism, and is mother to two bilingual daughters.
