PhD Amal Hadweh
will tell about the life in her home town, which is suffering from occupation, surrounded by a wall. She will focus on the following themes:

– The negative impact of the wall on Palestinian life.

– The position of refugees in Palestine and in other hosting countries.

– The difficulties faced by the chronically ill in an occupied territory.

Amal Hadweh works for the refugees inside Palestine. She also works for the Diabetics’ Friends Society (DFS) in Betlehem, which is sponsored by the Finnish-Arab Friendship Society. She is responsible for teaching diabetic patients how to take care of themselves in the difficult circumstances they often find themselves. At the moment, the Palestinian society cannot afford modern medical treatment, and the genreal knowledge of diabetes is insufficient.
