Friday 24.10 at 6pm and Saturday 25.10 at 4pm at Arkadia: Experimental noise performances by Haruspex

Please don’t hesitate to follow us on !

Dear friend of Arkadia,

You are invited to Experimental noise performances by Haruspex on Friday 24.10 at 6pm and Saturday 25.10 at 4pm (Nervanderinkatu 11)

Haruspex is an experimental noise and research group consisting of members Tuomas Ahva and Ava Grayson. They create beautiful trash using iPad apps and self-made software instruments, and their semi-improvised sets can spontaneously move from meditative and textural to wild and grungy. The performances will be based on tracks from their upcoming album and will be accompanied by visuals.

Warm regards,

Entrance is free but a donation of €3 (or more!) to fund the bookshop is suggested and would be most welcome. Arkadia wouldn’t exist without this act of generosity. If you have no loose change or coins we gladly accept payment via Visa Electron or Mastercard etc. !

Tuomas Ahva is a Helsinki-based sound artist who attends Aalto University in the Sound in New Media program. He is interested in the possibilities of a touch-screen tablet as musical instrument, and his Master’s thesis research explores the iPad virtuosity and iPad as instrument.

Ava Grayson is a Canadian-born sound artist and composer who lives and works in Helsinki. She also studies Sound in New Media at Aalto. Her Master’s thesis will be a durational performance featuring a psychopsysiologically-responsive sonic environment.
