The Nordic folk music group Tranotra visits Arkadia to offer you a sonic experience of delight and pleasure. Tranotra is the prodigious meeting of musicians from Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark; a clash between four wills from four different traditions. Traditional dance music meets minimalism; tight unison is contrasted with complex harmonies. Fiddles, clarinet and free bass accordion unite in the quest for music that is both pleasing and challenging, and that appeals to both the listening and the dancing soul.
