‘Sander at large.’
Gordon, the noted journalist, historian and author of Taistelu Suomesta, has appeared at Arkadia to give readings from his serious non-fiction. This time however he is bringing something completely different, a monologue about his experiences as a ‘wild and crazy kind of guy’ (to paraphrase Steve Martin), raising various forms of cultural havoc in Helsinki and New York in the late 70s and early 80s, including his own course in ‘hanging out’ and other assorted mayhem. A one time sideman with the band, ‘Iron Cross,’ he also will play several songs on the harmonica, before vanishing wordlessly into the night.
Join us for what promises to be a memorable, if somewhat raucous evening.!
