About Katrina Goldman:
In Katrina Goldman’s debut solo concert, she plays a programme of Bach, Debussy, Chopin, Haydn and Toivo Kuula. Katrina started piano at the age of four, and since 2001 has been studying piano at the Itähelsingin musiikkiopisto under the direction of Leena Nikula. She has been awarded stipends for the quality of her playing during her various examinations at the musiikkiopisto. She also studies violin as a second instrument, sings in a choir, and is very interested in maths and science. Her favourite composers are Bach, Beethoven and Debussy. Her motto for playing the piano could be borrowed from “The Importance of Being Earnest”: “I don’t play accurately – anyone can play accurately – but I play with wonderful expression. I keep science for Life.”
