Saturday 1.9 (3pm-6pm) and Sunday 2.9 (1pm-4pm) at New Arkadia: 2-day Liquid Bridge workshop of Argentine Tango

Dear friend of Arkadia,

You are most welcome to the first 2-day Liquid Bridge workshop of Argentine Tango. The workshop will take place on Saturday 1.9 (3pm – 6pm) and Sunday 2.9 (1pm – 4pm) at New Arkadia (at the of corner Dagmarinkatu 5 and Nervanderinkatu 11).

Within the 2 days (6 hours in total) the participants will have the possibility to learn the first steps of tango and also to consolidate what they already know. The participants will be introduced to tango’s main history periods, its main authors and music. The goal of the workshop is to prepare participants to attend any tango milonga afterwards. The workshop is the starting point of more regular tango classes that will take place at Arkadia this autumn.

Rhythms of Tango.

Roles. Communication. “Abrazo.”
and dancing while walking. Part I

Sunday 2.9 from 1pm to 4pm
Tango to listen and tango to dance.
Main authors and
orchestras. Part II
Phrasing and dancing while walking. Part II
craft and rules of milonga.
Milonga with music provided by Diferente.

The session is open to everyone of any skill level. Without prejudice of established dancing roles and away from the mainstream idea of what tango should be, it is a tango for all.

We kindly ask you to register to the event due to the limited number of participants. In the registration email please mention your name and how many people you register. It is possible to come without a dance partner.
