Message from Liquid Bridge:

Shpring is in the air and we will share this joy with you during our next event. Yesh!

It will be also about compassion and kindness. But mostly it will be about friendship.

Earl and Mooch are the main characters of a comic strip Mutts created by Patrick McDonnell, an American cartoonist. Earl and Mooch also happen to be best friends. Together with other pals they show us the beauty and simplicity of this world but also make us aware of some serious issues that trouble our planet.

Patrick McDonnell visited Finland for the first time last year in September and was an honour guest at Helsinki Comics Festival. During the visit he offered two of his drawings to Liquid Bridge with a request of using them to raise money for an animal shelter or any other animal welfare organisation.

On Saturday 10.5 we will talk about Mutts and the message they convey. We will also present Patrick McDonnell’s original drawings that will be available for sale. The money raised from the auction will go to Lappeenrannan Seudun Eläinsuojeluyhdistys ry (LSEY). During the event the representant of LSEY will be our guest. And who knows… we might also hear a personal message from Patrick himself.

Yesh! All that will take place on Saturday 10.5 at 2 pm at Arkadia International Bookshop (Nervanderinkatu 11) in Helsinki.
The talk will be in English and partly in Finnish. Welcome!
