Vencidxs” was made with voluntary force. No grants or private funding was used. The team have traveled over 12 000 kilometers and have recorded over 160 hours of interviews during a process taking more than three years. It was a project that generated high expectations among followers of the project, social collectives and media. “Vencidxs” received great support from thousands of people through a crowfunding campaign – a campaign that made the project possible.

Diego Ginartes:

I was born in a fishing town in the north of Spain, one Thursday of 1983.

I am a film critic, cameraman and video editor with several years of experience of short films, interviews, reports and documentaries . I have a broad perspective on the field of cinema since I have studied visual arts and film criticism in Spain, Portugal and Brazil.

I have a Master degree in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual from the university Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain) with the thesis: “Mobile Architecture of the Eternal: Reflections on the Time and the Material in Warhol’s Empire”. I also have a pos-graduation in Visual Arts from the University of São Paulo and a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Valladolid (Spain).

I was recently part of a truly interesting documentary project that covered the Argentinian trial of the crimes during Franco’s dictatorship: “Desde el otro lado del charco”. The project was financed through a crowfunding campaign and supported by datecuenta.org.

I am currently freelancing while I am exploring new fields.
