Dear friend of Arkadia, You are very warmly invited to welcome spring in the wonderful singing company of the Airola Sisters on Saturday 13.3 at 4pm! Oona and Laura are sisters, whose repertoire consists mostly of old, forgotten sweet melodies, folksongs, theatre music and their own songs. They accompanied by piano, guitar, accordion and other string instruments. Cellist Tuomas Airola is also part of the show. Join us and be merry! The Airola sisters started to perform together when they were both studying at the Kaustinen College of Music. Oona has also studied folk music also at the Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory and theatre at the Lahti Folk High School. Now it’s theatre which keeps her busy in Helsinki. She has performed i.a in productions by Kellariteatteri and Kiasma-teatteri. Laura is studying and working in journalism at the University of Jyväskylä.
