Dear friend of Arkadia,
You are invited by Töölö Social Democrats to Equal or Unequal Helsinki?, a discussion led by researcher on poverty Anna-Maria Isola, on Saturday 17.1 at 4pm at Arkadia (Nervanderinkatu 11)
Is Helsinki a city of economic equality? Do we have poverty and, if so, how does it manifest itself? What kind of economic problems and challenges do citizens face and how do they deal with them? You are heartily encouraged to come and express your opinion and personal experiences on the matter.
The discussion will be led by researcher on poverty Anna-Maria Isola (PhD). Later in the springtime, the present and future decision-makers of the city will be challenged to listen to what the citizens expect of them in order to alleviate poverty.
The talk is organized by the Töölö Social Democrats, Työttömien ay-jäsenten tukiyhdistys Tatsi ry. It will be mostly in English but also in Finnish and Swedish.
Welcome!
Warm regards,
Ian
