Siinä missä Hindemith on objektiivinen, etäinenkin, unkarilainen Béla Bartók (1881-1945) tulee iholle. Romaniasta ja Unkarista kootuissa kansansävelmissä on rakkautta ja riehakkuutta, mutta myös pelkoa ja pahuutta. Heta Aho (s.1992), Fanny Söderström (s.1993) ja Johannes Piirto (s.1993) ovat tutustuneet Sibelius-Akatemian nuorisokoulutuksessa. Kun ystävykset eivät istu kahvilla, he vastustavat taidemusiikin kuolemaa soittamalla, säveltämällä, järjestämällä konsertteja ja ylläpitämällä omaa sinfoniaorkesteria.
