Saturday 18.8 at 4pm at Old Arkadia: ‘Beef Finland 2012’ a talk with Seungho Lee
Dear friend of Arkadia,
You are invited to Beef Finland 2012 a talk with Seungho Lee on Saturday 18.8 at 4pm at Old Arkadia (Pohjoinen Hesperiankatu
9A ).
Do you care about climate change? Are you considering a hybrid car in order to reduce your part? You might need to rethink your strategy to help reduce carbon emission because producing 1kg of beef results in more CO2 emissions than going for a three-hour drive while leaving all the lights on at home. Plus, eating beef or excessive consumption of any meat in general is contributing to our health problems.
Beef Finland 2012, the master’s thesis work of Seungho Lee, explores the problems of beef eating in both Finnish and global scale and suggests that we can better understand the problem and come up with scalable solutions through design. Now the open-ended project is looking for volunteers fluent in Finnish who can help keep the project updated.
