Dear friend of Arkadia,

You are invited to ‘Et in Helsinki ego’, humourous readings from half-Finn wit Johanna MacDonald on Saturday 2.2 at 4pm at Arkadia ( Nervanderinkatu 11).

Johanna MacDonald, a half-Finn Canadian, writer, comedian, performer and all-around foreigner, will read two short essay-ish stories on life and other unfortunate errors as they are perpetrated in Helsinki.

Johanna has been living, insofar as that would be the right word for it, in Helsinki for the last 10 years after a reckless and foolish exodus from Toronto. Since then she’s been working as an actor, writer, translator, and performance artist at places like Teatteri Naamio ja Höyhen. More lately she’s to be found on the local stand-up comedy circuit.
