PENTECOST EVE VESPERS

Deep within Arkadia International Bookshop (at Nervanderinkatu 11), in the only bookshop chapel that we know of, we shall celebrate the Vigil (or Eve) of the great Feast of Pentecost.

All are welcome to this prayer on the most international of Christian holidays! Pentecost is a celebration of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, it is the birthday of the Church and remembered for the first occurrence of speaking in (intelligible) tongues. On the Eve of the feast, one naturally prays: come, Holy Spirit!

Arkadia International Bookshop and the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Töölö arrange the Vespers (Evening Prayer); it is in English and Finnish, held by Rev. Petri Tikka.
