Gosia Winter [AUS] and Mikael H [FIN] touring Northern EuropeAustralian Gosia Winter will be joined by another singer-songwriter from Finland, Mikael H (Hakkarainen), on a North European tour in October. Another Australian, Lucie Thorn, will join in on the Berlin concerts. In Finland, Mikael will be joined by his backing band, The Siberians.   Polish born, musician and songwriter, Gosia Winter writes music strong in myth-like narrative and honesty. Her music has been described by reviewers as ‘avant-folk’ and ‘carefully crafted’ and she is influenced by jazz, folk and experimental music. Gosia works both as a solo musician and in collaboration with others, and has released her musical work internationally. Her debut album, “Small Inconsistent Truths“, was released in Australia in 2009. Currently, Gosia is located in Berlin and will release her second solo album in early 2011. Mikael H & The Siberians are working on their forthcoming album, named “The President of The Venice Beach“, which will be out in early 2011. The setlist on this tour will comprise new songs as well as material from the two first albums, “Back from Serbia” and “Sounds like Siberia“. These will be the first live performances after the one-off show at the HeartChord music festival in Basel, Switzerland in April 2010. Recently Mikael has been touring Europe with Kaspar, in which he shares the singing and songwriting duties with John McGregor.
