You are invited to listen to Bach’s D minor Partita performed by violinist Mathieu Garguillo on Saturday 24.11 at 4pm at Arkadia (Nervanderinkatu 11)

This 2nd Partita includes 5 dances: Allemanda Corrente Sarabanda Giga Ciaccona Each dances play their own role in this Partita. The opening dance is a slow German dance, going almost attacca to a more lively dance, the Corrente. The Sarabanda is a slow and funeral march, followed by the Giga, a folk character dance. All of them lead towards the final funeral march, the Ciaccona.
