82 inhabitants of the Chechen village of Aldy were killed in a mop-up by a special police squad from Saint-Petersburg, on February 5, 2000.
The film is a collection of footage taken by the residents of the village a few days after the massacre and of interviews of the survivors taken by Natasha Estemirova in February 2009, just half a year before her murder.
The talk will be in English and in Russian.
All are most welcome.
Warm regards,
–Entrance is free and green tea will be offered. A donation of €2 (or more!) to fund the event is suggested and would be most welcome.
