Dear friend of Arkadia, You are warmly invited to ” A big world in a small book” – book and story making workshop for children” by Alva Bruun, her daughter Elsa and Eungyung Kim on Saturday 11.6 at 4pm! This book-making is aimed at children aged 6-8, and signing up beforehand (to alva.bruun@gmail.com or 0408269880) by Wednesday 8.6. is required as number of participants is limited. Finnish, Swedish and English-speaking children are welcome, as the workshop is held according to participant’s languages. When signing up please indicate the home-language(s) of your child. Parents are welcome to join the workshop and to bring nature and recycled materials for the books. Alva Bruun and her daughter Elsa will be presenting a story they have written together. A story about a long journey will be presented. Children are then encouraged to experience the joy and explore the opportunities of using their hands, minds, and hearts to make books which will reflect who they are and their unique worlds. Various materials are available for making the books, which will be exhibited at the bookshop after the event.
