You are most welcome to visit us at www.facebook.com / Arkadia International Bookshop and “like” us if indeed you do!
Dear friend of Arkadia,
You are invited to Stories for Winter by storytellers Christine Cooper, Markus Luukkonen and Elina Perttola on Thursday 1.12 at 7pm at Arkadia (Nervanderinkatu 11)
For many thousands of years, winter has been the time when people gather around the fire to hear stories. As the long nights close in, join us, and let the fire of our words fend off the dark. Storytellers Christine Cooper, Markus Luukkonen and Elina Perttola will bring us tales of snow-covered lands. We will also hear soul-warming music from Sámi yoiker Hildá Länsman and Finnish accordion champion Viivi Maria Saaenkylä.
Welcome!
Warm regards,
– Entrance is free but a donation of €3 (or more!) to fund the event is suggested and would be most welcome. If you have no loose change or coins we gladly accept payment via Visa Electron or Mastercard etc. !
Christine and Markus brought Stories from Kalevala to Arkadia last March, and it was packed with people standing in the next room, so arrive early if you want a seat!
