Thursday 11.3 at 6pm: Artist Petri Saarikko at Arkadia

Dear friend of Arkadia, You are heartily welcome to listen to artist Petri Saarikko present and discuss his work at the bookshop on Thursday 11.3 at 6pm. Saarikko does not shy away from provocation and often challenges issues such as national identity, artistic authorship or official political discourse with a change of context, therefore showing the true artificial nature of these phenomena. You are all encouraged to ask him questions and debate over the issues he so strikingly tackles and presses forward. The talk will be in English but questions can be posed and debated in Finnish. http://www.ykon.org/saarikko-huber/ Warm regards, Ian www.arkadiabookshop.fi – Entrance is free and green tea will be served. A donation of €2 (or more!) is suggested and would be welcome. Petri Saarikko (b. 1973) is an artist and a designer based in Helsinki, Finland.
