You are invited to the presentation of the song cycle ‘Rakasta, rakasta meitä’ by Kari Tikka on Thursday 14.11 at 6pm at Arkadia
(Nervanderinkatu 11).

The composer and conductor Kari Tikka will introduce his new 20-piece Song Cycle, Rakasta, rakasta meitä. His wife, the Reverend Eeva Tikka will be singing some of the songs.

The talk will take place in English and Finnish.

Kari Tikka (born 1946) has worked as a conductor at the Finnish National Opera from 1970 until 2011. As a guest conductor he has been active all over Europe and in the USA.

Tikka has composed more than 100 songs, five operas and chamber music. His most popular song, Grace Song has been
translated to at least 8 languages and his most well known opera, Luther, has been performed in addition to many churches in Finland,
also in Germany and in the USA. Kari and Eeva Tikka have just arrived from Minneapolis where his latest work, Creed Cantata had its
premiere
