Thursday 16.6 at 6pm: Exhibition of paintings by Finnish Australian artist Sanna Jalomäki

Dear friend of Arkadia, You are most welcome to view acrylic paintings by Finnish Australian artist Sanna Jalomäki from 16.6 to 7.7.2011. The exhibition opens on Thursday 16.6 at 6pm and Sanna will be happy to answer any of your questions on her pieces or her background as an artist. These works of art have been inspired by her life in Greece and Finland. Welcome! Warm regards, Ian www.arkadiabookshop.fiEntrance is free and green tea will be offered. A donation of €2 (or more!) to fund the event is suggested and would be most welcome. Sanna Jalomäki I was born in Finland and brought up in Australia. I studied acting at the University of Tampere in 1991. Although I’m not a fan of categorizing myself, if I had to I’d say I was a multi-dimensional artist since I act, write, am a singer songwriter and in addition to this I now paint (as far as ‘art’ goes I have also done set, stage and costume design, directed and been a magazine illustrator). I have been painting and exhibiting my work since 2009. Perhaps my acrylic pieces could be described as vibrant, colour embracing and generally oozing with light. But you be the judge. Hope you enjoy my work.
