Thursday 17.3 at 6pm: Open mic poetry reading presented by Dalila Akkal

Dear friend of Arkadia, You are invited to another marvellous ‘Open mic poetry reading’ event, hosted by Arkadia and presented by Dalila Akkal, on Thursday 17.3 at 6pm This event is an occasion for anyone to read their poetry to an audience. Whether you are a confirmed poet or someone who is writing poetry but has never dared to share it with anyone, this is your time and you are most welcome! Warm regards, Ian www.arkadiabookshop.fi (the site has been newly refurbished!) Entrance is free and green tea will be offered. A donation of €2 (or more!) to fund the event is suggested and would be most welcome! Here are some guidelines for this event:Try to be there well before 6pm to sign up in advance and insure you will be able to read. Bring 1 or 2 poems of yours (not too long please), plus a very short biography of yourself. Alternatively, you could present your poems or explain what poetry means/brings to you. You will have about 5 mins to present your bio and poems (you will be timed!). Poems can be read in any language. At the end, there will be an open discussion on the poems. If you know in advance that you are interested in participating, please send an email to Arkadia, so we can plan how many seats will be needed.www.arkadiabookshoop.fi Dalila Akkal is a French neuroscientist who has been living in Finland for more than a year.
