You are heartily invited to join Arkadia City Society , a discussion group for urban affairs hosted by Architect and Urban Designer Richard Hogan on Thursday 20.12 at 6pm at New Arkadia (Nervanderinkatu 11). It will be the first in a series of monthly discussion on urbanization and its role in our society.

With the majority of the world’s population now living in cities, issues related to urbanization have come to the forefront of public awareness. Cities are commonly regarded as centers for economic growth, sustainability and innovation and people are migrating to cities for better
access to employment, services, education and culture. But are cities able to meet the growing demands of our global society and, if so, how will those involved in planning cities ensure that this happens?
