Dear friend of Arkadia,

You are invited to ‘The Winter War and France’ with Simo Brummer and Henrik Tala on Thursday 22.1 at 6pm at Arkadia (Nervanderinkatu 11)

The evening programme consists of three parts:

– The Winter war and France by Simo Brummer is a presentation of the war from the French point of view. The presentation is based on the material gathered by Colonel Lauri Hiisi, the Finnish military attaché in Paris, during the fall 1939 and spring 1940, that includes press material, letters and official French documents.
– The influence of France on the result of the war by Henrik Tala. Henrik Tala wrote and published ‘Talvisodan ranskalaiset ratkaisijat’.
– A discussion on ”Finland alone or integrated in European security environment”

The talk will be in English. It will be moderated by Sini Sovijärvi, journalist (in charge of France at YLE) and president of the Helsinki Cercle français.

Welcome!

Warm regards,

Ian
