On Thursday 23.9 at 6 pm Dr Glenda Dawn Goss will talk about her recent, provocative biography, Sibelius: A Composer’s Life and the Awakening of Finland. Dr. Goss is an American musicologist who has lived and taught in Finland for a number of years. Her special interests are in cross-cultural connections and the wider cultural contexts in which music is made. She will explain how these perspectives shaped this new biography. The talk will be in English, but questions will also be accepted in Finnish, French and German. You are heartily welcome.
