You are invited to Hsin-Di Shih & Barbara Tenuta / Concert and Exhibition on Thursday 25.4 at 3pm at Arkadia (Nervanderinkatu 11).

A connection between music and painting: Hsin Di and Barbara have been exploring how music affects painting and vice versa. The result is a series of paintings by Barbara based on Hsin-Di’s repertoire.

Music programme: Debussy Cello Sonata / Schubert Arpeggione Sonata / Franck Cello Sonata in A Major
The exhibition of Barbara Tenuta’s works will last from 25.4 to 18.5

Hsin-Di Shih / Cellist
Hsin-Di Shih is a Taiwanese cellist (b.1993) who is studying Master degree of classical music performance at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. She is an active chamber musician who has wide interest in different combinations between music, arts and culture. Her recent project ‘Increasing cultural diversity thorugh musical exchange between Finland and Cambodia’ received the grant from Sibelius Academy and brought her an opportunity to premiere the music composed by Cambodian composer Bosba Panh and Finnish composer Robert-Ruohola at the same time giving masterclasses and workshops in Phnom Penh.

Barbara Tenuta / Artist
Barbara Tenuta (b.1992) is a Helsinki based artist mostly working in painting. Graduated from Art school Maa in 2016 and currently studying at Academy of Fine Arts, painting department. www.barbaratenuta.pb.gallery
