Dear friend of Arkadia,

You are invited to a concert with two bands, Nooli and Luomuduo, on Thursday 25.4 at 6pm at Arkadia (Nervanderinkatu 11).

Nooli is a duo originally from Kaustinen but nowadays based in Helsinki. The young musicians – Jonna Lankinens and Oona Harjus roots are deep in the nordic folk music tradition, which results in own compositions, stunning solos, walzes and polskas, giving the listener a wide set of modern folk music. The groovy harmonium playing of Harju and energetic fiddling of Lankinen together creates a totality that without a doubt gets the listener into the folk music groove.

Luomuduo is a violin-guitar couple originally from Kokkola, that plays new and old folk music with a steady grip. The repertoire includes nordic and Irish tunes, own compositions and American folkstandards played on the verge of tradition.
