This talk is part of a project called: “Transforming Challenges into Opportunities for Growth”. This initiative consists of a series talks held by professionals coming from different fields of expertise such as coaching, law, philosophy, art, theatre, Family Constellations and Rosen method. The talks will take place in the Fall of 2017 in Arkadia Bookshop.

Mistakes: Have you ever thought they can lift you up? by Corinna Casi

Can you think of a world where failures do not represent a personal defeat? Can you imagine a world where mistakes are part of a growing process and not a downfall? What type of world would that be? How that would change your perspective?

Philosophers have always been talking about possible worlds and alternative realities, from Plato to Tommaso Campanella, from Thomas More to Voltaire. During the talk on Thursday 07.12 in Arkadia (Helsinki, 17.30-19.00), these topics will be approached from a philosophical perspective and with some practical exercises. Curious? There is only one way to find it out…
 
Bio: Corinna Casi started to study Philosophy when she was 16 years old. She continued studying it at the University of Bologna, Italy. When she came to Finland, she decided to combine her interest in the natural environment with her passion for philosophy. She is now doing a PhD in Environmental Ethics at Helsinki University. She has been giving conferences and teaching Environmental Ethics and Philosophy in Finland and in other European Countries.


Corinna likes to bring philosophy and ethics outside academia. On this regards she has been organizing workshop on emotional intelligence and social relationships in Helsinki and she has been collaborating with artists, musicians and theater practitioners in projects where she brings her philosophical background.
