Antero Pellikka (born in 1988) is a Finnish guitarist. He had his first guitar at the age of 7 and soon after he started his guitar studies under the guidance of Esko Virtanen. After graduating from music institute Pellikka studied with Petri Kumela at the Helsinki Conservatory and Metropolia University of Applied Studies. In 2016 he finished his Master’s degree at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague with distinctions under the guidance of Zoran Dukić and is currently finishing his studies at Sibelius Academy in Finland.
To complement his studies Pellikka has attended masterclasses with such teachers as Eliot Fisk, Marcin Dylla, Ricardo Gallén, Carlo Marchione, and many others. He is also involved in chamber music in various ensembles as well as variety of contemporary music projects. Pellikka has been awarded in various competitions as a soloist and as a part of an ensemble. In 2018 he will be playing in various guitar festivals in Europe as a part of Eurostrings Young Stars Program.
