Tua Sofia in concert on Wednesday 19.5 at 7pm!
Dear friend of Arkadia,
You are heartily welcome to a wonderful concert on Wednesday 19.5 at 7pm. Tua Sofia will perform at the bookshop!
Tua Sofia was born and raised in the little town of Klaukkala just outside Helsinki. She acquired her basic music training at the Helsinki Pop&Jazz conservatory. Her passion for jazz music led her to move to New York to study the jazz voice at the New School University in Manhattan in 2005. As she returned to Finland she set up her own business giving lessons in vocal technique and repertoire.
Tua Sofia’s first album entitled Langat Karkaa will be released in May 2010.
Her music is a compelling mixture of folk, Slavic tradition and jazz combined with highly intimate lyrics sung in her native language Finnish. You can catch Tua Sofia performing live in many of the clubs in and around Helsinki area.
