Philip Tidwell will present on his recently published Garden [City] State, which considers the infrastructural, technological and social challenges facing the densest state in the United States: New Jersey. The talk will consider not only New Jersey but the broader future of American infrastructure and urban development

Philip Tidwell is a former researcher at Princeton University and a current instructor in architecture at Aalto University in Helsinki.

Garden [City] State was developed through research conducted at Princeton University’s Center for Architecture, Urbanism and Infrastructure by Philip Tidwell and Professor Mario Gandelsonas. It outlines a strategy of mobility and development in essays, maps, and collages focused on ten towns across the state of New Jersey.
