You are very welcome to visit us at:www.facebook.com / Arkadia International Bookshop and “like” us if indeed you do!
Dear friend of Arkadia,
You are invited to ‘An hour of poetry devoted to the Romantics’ by the Finn-Brit Players on Tuesday 11.6 at 6pm at Arkadia (Nervanderinkatu 11)
Romanticism was a major artistic movement that began in the late 1700s and lasted until the mid-1800s. Many poems of this era exhibit profound emotion and a love of nature. Individualism, idealism and mysticism were also close to the Romantics’ hearts.
This is your chance to hear not only the big six – Keats, Coleridge, Shelley, Wordsworth, Byron and Blake – but also some of the lesser known poets of the period.
See the full programme here:www.zoechandler.com/2013/05/15/the-romantics
NOTE – this Poetry & Jazz special runs for one night only!
You are all welcome.
Warm regards,
Ian
