Mediation is quickly gaining ground in Finland and in Europe generally as a new means of resolving disputes relating to business activities, family matters and other areas of life. As opposed to adversarial win-lose methods such as litigation, mediation offers a possibility of resolving disputes quickly, efficiently and constructively. Come to hear what mediation is and how it is conducted in practice!

The Speaker: Petri Taivalkoski is a Member of the Finnish Bar and the Head of Roschier Attorneys Ltd’s Dispute Resolution practice in Helsinki. He is a trained mediator and has been actively involved in the promotion of mediation and the training if mediators since the late 90s. He currently serves as the President of the Mediation Board of the Finnish Bar Association.
