In “Me, My World” Edna Nelson, reveals herself as a painter, comic book artist, and poet. Her portrait works, landscapes and self-published comics tell a story of trying to be in the world, and have been called “heartwarming.” The work ranges from provocative to familiar and aims at conveying the dynamism of everyday life. Edna Nelson has been producing art as long as she can remember and as a child was taken with animation, comic style drawing, life painting and poetry. She has trained at Parsons in New York as a part of her Junior High School studies, but for the most part has worked independently to sharpen her skills as an artist and storyteller.
